One step on screen
A large photo and one or two short sentences. A stage bar shows TODAY, NOW, HOW, CHECK, DONE and NEXT.
What you need
A tickable list of materials before starting, so the bench is ready.
Go back, look closer
BACK re-reads the last step. Tap the photo to enlarge it. Review the steps again from CHECK.
I need help
Pick a ready phrase, or have the tablet say it aloud. Or show a full-screen card to the supervisor.
Breaks and interruptions
Take a break and press CONTINUE. If the tablet reloads, the task resumes at the same step.
Calm encouragement
Soft chimes, short messages and optional read-aloud. Staff can switch each one off. No points or timers.
Gentle nudge
If a step stalls, a soft prompt appears. At most twice per step, and staff can turn it off.
Report when finished
The DONE screen gives the exact words to say to staff, and can read them aloud.

Set up tasks without any programming
Task templates
Create, edit, copy and archive. Add steps, photos from the camera or gallery, checks, help phrases and a handover phrase.
Materials and staff check
List what the student needs. Turn on a staff check so the student waits for sign-off before the next task.
Plan the day
Reorder the day's tasks and add or remove them. See who is partway through a task.
Reset or resume
Send an unfinished task back to the start, or resume it where the student left off.
Preview before use
Walk through any task as the student would, without recording progress.
Back up and restore
Export everything as one file and restore it on another tablet.

After the first load it needs no network. Handy on workshop Wi-Fi.
Private by design
All data stays on the tablet. There is no server, no account and no tracking.
Kiosk-friendly
Add to the home screen to run full-screen. The back swipe, long-press menu and pull-to-refresh are blocked for students.
Later, if wanted
Cloud sync, staff accounts and several students are not in this prototype. They can follow after award.
